Volusia County Deputies Go The Extra Mile For A Few Children In Need

1 min read

DeLand, FL. – Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood took to social media to share yet another story of the police doing a great job in America.

The Sheriff said deputies responded to a suspected overdose death in DeLand over the weekend and noticed children in the home were sleeping on couch cushions and dirty laundry.

The deputies decided to do something about it, and out of their own pockets, headed to a local store and picked up new mattresses, bedding, pillows, and snacks.

Great job to the deputies on Charlie Shift, District 2! Way to show people who law enforcement really is.
