Henderson, NV. – The Henderson Police Department has released an after-action report on an officer involved shooting on January 11th, including bodycam footage.

Authorities say the shooting occurred at 8:50PM at a storage facility at 1011 Stufflebeam Avenue. Detectives were conducting surveillance on a burglary suspect and attempted to stop him.

When police made contact with the suspect, 37-year-old Joshua Watkins, he ran away. During a foot pursuit, Watkins pulled a firearm on police and was shot by officers.

Watkins was transported to a local hospital for treatment and later booked into jail on assault with deadly weapon and felon in possession of a firearm charges.

No officers were injured.
