Metairie, LA – A shooting at a Louisiana gun store resulted in three dead, two injured, and armed citizens shooting and killing the shooter on Saturday.

Authorities say the incident began at the Jefferson Gun Outlet near the New Orleans airport when a man began shooting people inside the location.

“At this time, it appears a suspect shot two victims inside the location, then was engaged and shot outside the location by multiple other individuals,” a sheriff’s department statement said. “The suspect is one of the deceased on scene.”

Details of the incident are limited, and it is unclear if the citizen good samaritans were employees or customers.

Authorities have not yet identified any of the people involved.
