Flagler County, FL. – The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on Saturday who traveled from Connecticut to Florida and allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend.

Deputies arrested 39-year-old Aaron Thayer, who authorities say drove from Connecticut to Florida and broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home.  Thayer drove down to her home after she deactivated security cameras he had installed inside her residence.

Thayer allegedly broke into the home via the back door, stole $400,  grabbed a firearm and began to chase the woman.

The woman escaped the residence and was met by responding deputies. Deputies made contact with Thayer, who chose not to comply and was tased.  Thayer was taken into custody after.

Thayer is facing charges of written threats to kill,  attempted premeditated murder with a firearm, possession of a firearm/ammunition by a convicted felon, petit theft and resisting arrest without violence, deputies said.
