An LAPD Officer wrote a letter to LeBron James requesting a sitdown to discuss policing after James attacked an officer with a post he put up on Twitter last week.
Officer Deon Joseph is a 24-year veteran with the force and has worked in the Skid Row section of Los Angles for about two decades. On Sunday he posted a letter on his Facebook page addressed to James requesting the sitdown.
Officer Joseph called out James for putting a target on the back of the officer who had to make a quick decision to save an individual’s life.
“Your tweet that targeted a police officer in Ohio who saved a young woman’s life was irresponsible and disturbing. It showed a complete lack of understanding of the challenge of our job in the heat of a moment. You basically put a target on the back of a human being who had to make a split second decision to save a life from a deadly attack.” – Officer Joseph
