Hollywood, CA. – On Saturday afternoon LAPD officers shot and killed a suspect wearing body armor after he crashed into their patrol car and confronted officers.
LAPD Detective Meghan Aguilar told reporters the officers were responding to a call and had their lights and sirens activated when the driver “stopped suddenly” on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood and reversed into their police vehicle.
The driver exited his car and kept his right hand hidden behind his back. “The officers gave him commands which he did not follow, and he started counting down, saying 3… 2… 1… as he started to pull his hand from his back to the front,” Det. Aguilar said. At this time an officer involved shooting occurred, killing the suspect at the scene.
