Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax received national attention in 2019 when he was accused by two women of raping them in separate incidents. He denied the claims, refused to resign and still holds office today.
In a recent appearance, Fairfax addressed the sexual assault and rape accusations made against him:
“We can’t just talk theoretically about what generally happens, but we have a real-world example where I was falsely accused in 2019,” ” Fairfax said. “Everyone here on this stage called for my immediate resignation, including Terry McAuliffe three minutes after a press release came out. He treated me like George Floyd. He treated me like Emmett Till. No due process. Immediately assumed my guilt. I have a son, and I have a daughter. I never want my daughter to be assaulted, and I never want my son to be falsely accused. And yet this is the real world that we live in.”
Till was a 14-year-old African American who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955, after being accused of offending a white woman in her family’s grocery store.
Derek Chauvin is currently on trial for the ‘murder’ of George Floyd, who died after being arrested in Minneapolis.
Why invoke these two names while defending yourself against claims of rape and sexual assault? It’s simple. The left plays the race card whenever faced with adversity.
