On Saturday night outside the Police Station in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, Democratic Rep Maxine Waters joined rioters telling them that unless Derek Chauvin is convicted of murder for the death of George Floyd, they need to take to the streets. She encouraged confrontation and glaringly endorsed violent mob rule.
Rioters had gathered outside the police station over the shooting of Daunte Wright earlier this month. Wright was shot by Brooklyn Center Police Officer Kim Potter after he struggled with police on a traffic stop. She has been arrested for manslaughter and claims she meant to use a taser, not a firearm. Riots and protest have erupted as a result. Waters had come to join the crowd and make her voice heard.
“I came here for one reason, just to be here, to make sure that I let my thoughts be heard among all of those who have spent so much time on the streets. And so I’m hopeful that the protests will continue,”- Maxine Waters
Waters also stated that the only acceptable guilty verdict was murder. A guilty verdict of manslaughter would not be acceptable.
“We’re looking for a guilty verdict. And we’re looking to see if all of the talk that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd, if nothing does not happen, then we know that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice,” – Maxine Waters
Maxine Waters has a history of attempting to incite violence against those who don’t agree with her . You may remember this from 3 years ago. It’s a pattern.
