Washington D.C. – Metropolitan Police released bodycam footage on Sunday of a fatal shooting on Friday involving Terrance Parker, a black man who appeared to be holding a gun at the time the shooting occurred.

Around 9pm on Friday, officers responded to a domestic violence call at an apartment complex located in the city. When officers arrived on the scene they attempted to talk to Parker and the female located inside the apartment. Parker then picked up a gun and was shot by officers.

Parker was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The officers involved in the shooting have been place on administrative leave per departmental policy.

The footage was released after Parker’s family claimed that he did not point the gun at anyone. Tiffany Parker, claimed that she could not identify a gun in the video.
