Dave Hunt, a Democrat former Oregon House Speaker and current board member at Clackamas Community College, has been arrested by Portland Police as part of an undercover sex trafficking sting operation.
Ironically Hunt is being charged under the same bill he voted for in 2011.
Hunt is one of eight men who was cited as part of the undercover operation conducted by the Portland Police Human Trafficking Unit. The officers had utilized online decoys on known sex trafficking websites. Hunt had contacted one of the decoys and had arranged to meet with the agreement to pay for sexual acts.

“Human trafficking is not a victimless crimes. Survivors of human trafficking may be hesitant to seek out help from law enforcement due to the fact they may have been forced, coerced, or manipulated to commit crimes and fear arrest. Cases of human trafficking often include physical, sexual, and mental abuse. From the outside they may look like domestic violence, robbery, sexual assault, or fraud. The Portland Police Bureau, in conjunction with other federal and local law enforcement agencies, is committed to deterring prostitution and human trafficking activities,” – Portland Police
