Rochester, NY- While Mayor Lovely Warren is drafting plans to defund the police department, her husband is busy getting arrested for selling cocaine.

On Thursday, night Mayor Warren released the details of her proposed plan. The plan includes petitioning the state to amend the Taylor law which would immediately terminate police personnel for the city. Warren is proposing more funding for mental health programs and reducing the size of the Rochester police department over the next five to ten years.

After firing Police Chief Singletary, Mayor Warren brought in Cynthia Herriott-Sullivan as her new chief. Sullivan is much more liberal and encourages less confrontation with protesters. She also encourages officers to be patient in difficult situations stating, “Sometimes we have to make this critical statement to ourselves: Just because we can, should we?”

Meanwhile, as the Mayor is envisioning a city with less crackdown on crime, her husband was just arrested for selling cocaine as part of a “midlevel” drug ring. The New York State Police arrested Timothy Granison on Wednesday at the home where he lives with the mayor and their daughter. The arrest led to the seizure of 2 kilos of powdered and crack cocaine valued at $60,000. Three guns and $100,000 cash were also seized as part of the extensive sting operation.

Granison isn’t the only alleged criminal in the family. Mayor Warren has also been arrested for felony charges related to campaign finance violations related to her 2017 re-election run.

With all of the crime associated with Mayor Warren’s family it is no surprise that she is proposing a plan for the city to defund the police. Her family would have a lot to gain if the police presence was eliminated.
