The New Orleans Police Department released body camera footage from an officer involved shooting on Memorial Day.

The shooting took place near the 2000 block of Mirabeau Avenue on May 31. Police were responding to a domestic disturbance at the location and were fired upon when they arrived.

Officers returned fire and the suspect and a 25-year-old female family member were shot during the exchange. Authorities say the female was shot by the suspect, and the suspect was shot by officers in the leg. The woman was treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Wilton Anderson who was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault on an officer and one count of resisting arrest.

No officers were injured.
