Louisville Cop Shot In Riots Gets Demoted For Being “Mean” In Training

In a recent story from the Police Tribune [2], The LMPD Major, Aubrey Gregory, was identified as one of the officers shot during Breonna Taylor riots in September of 2020.  Major Gregory sustained a gunshot wound to the hip.

After recovering from his injury, he took command of the department’s training division, where someone then complained about his offensive rhetoric.

The LMPD has not commented on what “offensive language” was used by the Major. The Courier Journal obtained an internal LMPD memo showing that Major Gregory had been demoted to Lieutenant.

Apparently this is how LMPD treats their own, even after being shot in the line of duty.
