In a press conference today, New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo made a statement that should frighten you.
Andrew Cuomo: “We have to get in those communities, we have to knock on those doors, and we have to convince people, put them in a car and drive them and get that vaccine in their arm. That is the mission.”
This is alarming speech!

This is against NY State Constitution. NY State can’t force this. pic.twitter.com/MVBRzs61qT

Yes, you heard it right… The New York Governor is pushing to send teams to knock on doors and convince people to get the jab, even if they have to “put them in cars.” That’s the mission and he’s not hiding it. Here’s how he’s doing it, by spending $15 million of tax payer dollars and giving it to “community organizations.”
We're allocating $15M to community organizations to help vaccination efforts on the ground.
These orgs have the expertise to move the needle in areas with high positivity & low vax rates.
We've made incredible progress against COVID—but there's more work to do.

Cuomo went on in his press conference to claim, “I told the truth about Covid from day 1.” Janice Dean, who lost both of her in-laws in New York nursing homes, had something to say about that, Tweeting “What an absolute joke he is.”

The truth about Cuomo and nursing homes? We will probably never know. The Biden DOJ recently dropped the civil rights probe into the Governor over nursing homes and COVID-19.
