A huge deal has been made of the Capitol riot on January 6, and rightfully so. The problem I have with the events on January 6th is the total lack of transparency. The left wants nothing but transparency in policing, except for that day. Why?
I recently watched a video showing the beginning of violence on January 6th, and I’m going to take a different approach on this video than you may have seen from this site before. I tend to upset some people. That’s ok. I’ve been on social media saying that if you haven’t worked patrol, you’re not a real cop, and I stand by that. It doesn’t mean they’re not a certified police officer, it doesn’t mean they can’t be great at their jobs, but if you haven’t driven a patrol car in the search of criminals, you’re not a “cop” to me.
I don’t support violence against any law enforcement, or any person for that matter, and those accused of that on January 6th have none of my support. The political prisoners of January 6 that I support do not include anyone with an allegation of violence against anyone, especially a police officer, and those who assaulted the police can rot in their cell and stay there forever.
What I do care about is finding the truth about what happened that day. We have seen many videos of what appears to be US Capitol Police directing people into the Capitol, yet the FBI is on a never ending manhunt to track down these trespassers… for trespassing in the People’s House.
Unfortunately, I spent time assigned to internal affairs as a detective and have investigated a lot of use of force incidents and police misconduct. After watching the video below, I have many, many questions.
The video captures the moments before violence begins at the rally. From what I have researched and seen, I have not seen violence at the Capitol prior to this video. The crowd may be a little rowdy, but it’s an actual peaceful protest. There has not been any breaching of the Capitol yet either.
The video shows the moment either stun grenades or tear gas canisters were deployed into the crowd of protestors. The question I have, after a 20-year career in law enforcement, is why were these munitions deployed? I have picked this video apart and many more, and cannot see why the USCP used this force against the crowd. There is no fighting and no violence, so why did they target these people with less-lethal weapons?
What happened next? Chaos. Violence. The crowd fought back. The Capitol was breached. The left scored a win and impeached Trump, again.
What would have happened if the police used munitions before violence occurred on a BLM protest? The media and the left would filet those officers, and it’s already happened in several cities.
How much training did the USCP receive on crowd control? Who directed the munitions?
Unfortunately, we may never get the answers, but I’ll be damned if I don’t asked the questions.

Here’s my question / issue with your synopsis. You are calling it a peaceful protest – but in order for the crowd to get to this point, they have already pushed past police officers and barricades. No, they haven’t entered the Capitol yet – but at this moment in your video, they are unlawfully assembled in a restricted area and have already had violent interactions with police. By 1:00, Chief Sund has already asked to declare an emergency and call for deployment of the national guard. At what point do you think it is ok for the police to use measure that are supposed to disband an unlawfully gathered crowd that has already shown violent behavior – even if there is no visible violence to be seen during these exact videos?
You seem to have missed that this is the spot where a guy getting beat up worse than Rodney King was beat which caused the LA riots! @stophate.com
These people were in horror at the police brutality! Police brutality is never ok!
