There are so many unanswered questions pertaining to the killing of unarmed US Vet Ashli Babbitt, who was shot and killed inside the Capitol during the January 6th melee.

Firstly, who shot her?

[[[GET ON GETTR]]]

We still don’t know, although many people believe it was Capitol police officer, Michael Byrd.

And why was she shot?

We’re told that there was an investigation into the matter, and then no charges were filed, yet we don’t know the details of any such report beyond this very generic stuff from the Justice Department:

Ms. Babbitt was among a mob of people that entered the Capitol building and gained access to a hallway outside “Speaker’s Lobby,” which leads to the Chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives.  At the time, the USCP was evacuating Members from the Chamber, which the mob was trying to enter from multiple doorways.  USCP officers used furniture to barricade a set of glass doors separating the hallway and Speaker’s Lobby to try and stop the mob from entering the Speaker’s Lobby and the Chamber, and three officers positioned themselves between the doors and the mob.  Members of the mob attempted to break through the doors by striking them and breaking the glass with their hands, flagpoles, helmets, and other objects.  Eventually, the three USCP officers positioned outside the doors were forced to evacuate.  As members of the mob continued to strike the glass doors, Ms. Babbitt attempted to climb through one of the doors where glass was broken out.  An officer inside the Speaker’s Lobby fired one round from his service pistol, striking Ms. Babbitt in the left shoulder, causing her to fall back from the doorway and onto the floor.  A USCP emergency response team, which had begun making its way into the hallway to try and subdue the mob, administered aid to Ms. Babbitt, who was transported to Washington Hospital Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.

You’ll notice there’s no mention of a verbal warning to Ms. Babbitt or other efforts to subdue her without the use of deadly force.

In addition, many have questions surrounding the actual body of Ashli Babbitt after a video of her family supposedly “laying her to rest” surfaced. A body couldn’t be seen in the video.

Many people began asking where was Ashli’s body after Meaww ran a story asking, “Where is her body?” on January 10th.

Four days after her death, people can’t stop wondering where her body currently is. There seem to be no reports apart from the fact that her death is currently under investigation. The Justice Department is opening an investigation into the shooting. Michael Sherwin, the acting US Attorney for the District of Columbia, told CBS News his office has opened a formal, federal excessive force investigation. The probe will be handled by the office’s civil rights division.

Now, it turns out that Judicial Watch uncovered a request from the DC Medical Examiner, requesting that Ashli Babbitt be cremated just two days after she was killed.

Bizpacreview.com reported that the Washington, D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) reportedly submitted a request to cremate deceased Jan. 6th rioter Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, only two days after her death.

This and other findings were discovered in more than 1,100 pages of documents from the OCME obtained by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch via a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed in April.

The documents obtained by Judicial Watch show that on Jan. 8th, two days after the Jan. 6th riot, OCME made a submission through the “OCME Online Permit” application form for “cremation.”

Moreover, the documents state that this “transaction was completed successfully.”

Here’s a copy of that document:

At this point, it’s not clear if that last entry meant the application or the cremation was successful.

And that’s what people are still wondering to this day – was she cremated?

Was this something that the family asked the medical examiner to request or was this done without the family’s knowledge?

Is the family okay with this, or are they being pressured in some way not to say anything about how Ashli’s corpse was handled?

It just seems odd that an ME would request that so quickly after such a controversial death – and also strange that a family would request that so quickly for the exact same reasons – because from what we’ve gleaned from the family, they believe Ashli was unjustly murdered.

The Bizpac piece goes on to highlight the bizarre amount of secrecy surrounding Ashli’s killing.

“The continued secrecy and delayed release of information about the shooting death of Ashli Babbitt are suspicious and smacks of politics,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton said in a statement to Just The News.

“That Americans still have no information about who killed her or any police report about her death is a scandal of epic proportions,” he added.

Dovetailing back to Judicial Watch’s findings, they also show that top OCME officials sought to restrict access to Babbitt’s case information.

“Due to the high-profile nature of case 21-00106, Dr. Diaz has requested limited access to this case. Please create a secure folder on the photo server for case 21-00106 and provide access only to the following OCME staff: Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Diaz, Anna Francis, Matthew Brow,” forensics photographer Matthew Brown reportedly wrote in a Jan 7th. email to several of his OCME colleagues.

Dr. Diaz was a reference to OCME deputy chief medical examiner Francisco Diaz. He’s the one who examined the body.
