Chicago Police Officer Ella French was murdered in a gunfight last night in Chicago, and another officer was critically wounded. Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lighfoot decided the press conference for the murder would be a good time to bring up ‘police accountability’ and urge people to ‘unite.’  Bringing up police accountability at the press conference for a murdered officer who left a 2 month old child at home is the worst possible idea, if you ever really wanted anyone to unite.

Does anyone believe she wants any kind of unity? She and prosecutor Kim Foxx have systematically destroyed the criminal justice system and raged a war on their own police with woke reform aimed at reducing proactive policing, which ultimately has left citizens less safe.

Lightfoot is so worried about her critics she took them while the spotlight of Officer French’s murder was on her.  You know why you have critics Lori? Maybe it’s because of your ridiculous policy changes on the CPD in the name of ‘police reform’ such as severely limiting who officers can  engage in a foot pursuit with. Maybe it’s because members of your department feel that they could lose their job, or freedom, for simply doing their job.

You are a complete and total failure Lightfoot. Just take a ride on the South Side and see for yourself, make sure to take your security detail.

Standby Chicago, I have a feeling the recruiting and retention of Chicago Police officers is about to get much worse.
