Police said Monday that a total of 29 shooting incidents occurred over the weekend. At least four of those saw multiple victims.

The youngest reported shooting victim of the weekend was 14 years old, and the oldest was 68.

The incident involving a 14-year-old boy was in the Little Village neighborhood. Around 1:35 am, police said, he was “punched and kicked by a group of people before being stabbed twice in the shoulder.” After he was taken to the hospital, it was determined that he had also been shot in the arm.

Police said the child wasn’t cooperative with their investigation, and he’s expected to survive.

As for the other victims, police don’t know if they were the intended targets or victims of random acts of violence.

The time frame for this count was 5:00pm Friday to 11:59pm Sunday.
