Clinton Lawyer Indictment Points to Her Campaign as Organizing Trump Russia Collusion Lies

WASHINGTON, DC – A recent grand jury indictment [1] against Michael Sussmann, a former cybersecurity attorney who was also Hillary Clinton’s lawyer prior to and during the 2016 campaign, has been released. It revealed information that gives credit to the allegations of the former first lady attempting to push a false Russia collusion claim against former President Trump.

This is part of the long-awaited results of Special Council John Durham’s investigation, which is, according to [2] Former Department of Justice Chief of Staff Kash Patel, developing a “very well laid-out conspiracy charge” against Sussmann and the law firm of Perkins Coie.

Durham believes that Sussman lied to the FBI general counsel in 2016 regarding documents and data that alleged Russia’s Alfa Bank was the go-between for Trump’s campaign and the Russian government, helping spread Russian collusion stories and triggering a Trump investigation.

Sussmann said that he wasn’t delivering the information on the “collusion” on behalf of any of his clients, according to Durham. Still, the billing documentation shows that it is inaccurate and was billed to the Clinton campaign.

The indictment, 26 pages long, showed that an unnamed “university researcher” said to Sussmann, “You do realize that we will have to expose every trick we have in our bag.”

The Hill [8] explained further: “The researchers were told they should not be looking for proof but just enough to ‘give the base of a very useful narrative.’ The researchers argued, according to the indictment, that anyone familiar with analyzing internet traffic ‘would poke several holes’ in that narrative, noting that what they saw likely “was not a secret communications channel with Russian Bank-1, but ‘a red herring,'” according to the indictment.

“‘Researcher-1’ repeated these doubts, the indictment says, and asked, ‘How do we plan to defend against the criticism that this is not spoofed traffic we are observing? There is no answer to that. Let’s assume again that they are not smart enough to refute our ‘best-case scenario.’ You do realize that we will have to expose every trick we have in our bag to even make a very weak association.’

“‘Researcher-1’ allegedly further warned, ‘We cannot technically make any claims that would fly public scrutiny. The only thing that drives us at this point is that we just do not like [Trump]. This will not fly in the eyes of public scrutiny. Folks, I am afraid we have tunnel vision. Time to regroup?'”

According to Patel, “[Michael] Sussman is the centerpiece for these allegations because he ties the Hillary Clinton campaign to Fusion GPS to Christopher Steele to the Department of Justice and the false information they fed to the FBI and DOJ to spy on the presidential campaign.

“It’s exactly the heart of the matter being a former federal prosecutor. It’s a 27-page indictment for a lying count that you normally have about five pages to discuss. It is a very well laid-out conspiracy charge that outlines other figures involved that I just mentioned.”

Another figure hooked into the scandal collaboration is Jake Sullivan [12], who is now the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, or National Security Advisor, under President Joe Biden.

At the time, Sullivan said, “Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank. This secret hotline may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump’s ties to Russia. … This line of communication may help explain Trump’s bizarre adoration of Vladimir Putin.”

Other details [8] that support the claim that Clinton’s campaign at least assisted in organizing an investigation have been released in the recent past as well. For example, last October, the truth came out regarding Obama’s knowledge of her plans when he was briefed that Clinton was using the investigation as “a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”

The Steele dossier was [13] also revealed to be directly related to the Clinton campaign.

Durham’s final report is still expected to be released, although it’s unclear how much of it will be redacted.
