We’ve been focused on the coronavirus vaccines throughout today’s program but of course, you know that’s only the cherry on top of the shit-flavored ice cream sundae that is our nation’s coronavirus response. In England and Denmark, students aren’t wearing masks to school and it hasn’t made a difference at all. But in our schools, petty dictators impose them anyway. If you watch them long enough, you learn the truth: They keep at this because they like it. They like controlling others. They like the thrill of being a little tyrant who keeps little people in line. They like the high they get from attacking and shunning people who don’t play along. They’re addicted to the anger, anxiety, self-consciousness, irritability, emotional instability, and depression they felt when they stayed locked indoors for six straight months in 2020.
