The former campaign manager to Donald Trump, Corey Lewandowski, has found himself the center of an investigation after a super PAC donor claimed he made numerous sexual advancements towards her while she was attending an event at the Westgate Las Vegas hotel.
Having been a longtime supporter of the Republican party, Trashelle Odom was visiting the hotel to attend the Victoria’s Voice Foundation, which focuses mainly on substance abuse. It was at the event that Odom ran into Lewandowski, who appeared to be drunk. Still, according to the police report, Lewandowski repeatedly touched her while sitting next to her at the event, including her leg and buttocks, and even “stalked” her several times throughout the evening.
If that was bad enough, Odom also stated that Lewandowski made it a point on more than one occasion to talk about the size of his genitals. He also talked to Odom about his sexual drive and showed her his room key.
While the report was made public, earlier in the week, Odom released a statement saying, “I am coming forward because he needs to be held accountable. I am blessed to have a loving husband and family behind me. I want other women to know that you can be heard, too, and together we can stop terrible things like this from happening.”
Discussing the situation and how uncomfortable it made her feel, Odom added, “I went into my room crying and trembling as I did not know if I had just ruined everything that my family had worked so hard to grow.”
With the news breaking, the Trump team came out saying they were cutting ties with the former campaign manager. Even Trashelle’s husband released a statement on the matter. “We believe in law enforcement, and are hopeful that the police and prosecutors will use this information to pursue justice. For all others with information regarding this man’s violent, harassing, and traumatizing behavior, we encourage you to speak up. Accountability is sorely needed.”
As for Lewandowski, his attorney David Chesnoff refused to make a comment, only saying, “It’s premature to respond to something that hasn’t been filed up until now and that we haven’t seen and we will respond if appropriate.”
