California Governor Gavin Newsom might have been able to retain his position in office, but that doesn’t mean the people in the golden state are happy about it. Since beating the recall election, Newsom has implemented the COVID-19 vaccine mandate on all kids attending both public and private schools. Not to mention his recent move to ban the sale of all gas-powered lawnmowers and chainsaws. But while Gov. Newsom might feel untouchable; a new poll revealed that the majority of San Francisco residents said they were planning on leaving the state in the next five years.

According to SFGate, the poll, conducted by Joint Venture Silicon Valley for the Bay Area News Group, asked over 1,600 registered voters if they were ever planning on leaving.
The outlet reported, “A shocking 71% of respondents said the quality of life in the greater Bay Area is worse now compared to five years ago. Fifty-six percent of respondents said they are considering leaving in the next five years — including 53% of respondents who work in the tech sector.”
The President and CEO of Joint Venture Silicon Valley, Russell Hancock, admitted that 53% is the highest percentage of residents who wished to leave the Bay Area compared to previous polls. That includes polls that were conducted outside of Joint Venture.
On top of over 50% of residents wanting to seek housing elsewhere, the poll also found that 52% of registered voters believed the area was headed in the wrong direction.
Here are the top 5 cities Americans are fleeing:
1. San Francisco
2. New York City
3. Los Angeles
4. Washington D.C.
It's interesting how people would rather flee Socialism for red states than to stop voting for it. Right?

It also appears that residents aren’t the only ones looking the leave the state. LAST WEEK, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that his company would be relocating its headquarters from Silicon Valley to Texas. He did admit that the company would still hold some operations in the area.
Losing Tesla is definitely a cause for concern, but apparently, the hits just keep on coming as Walgreens also decided to close five of its stores in the area as well. This decision was due to the rise in crime, all thanks to Proposition 47, which made a stolen item worth less than $950 a misdemeanor.
