Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) was “triggered” in a big way this week after Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) tweeted an anime video that showed him stabbing the “woke” Democrat in the back.

Let’s just say that Ocasio-Cortez did not take it well.

Though Twitter has labeled the video as “hateful content,” it remains up on the platform at the time of this writing. NPR reported that the 92-second video is an edited version of the opening credits of the Japanese manga series Attack on Titan. It shows clips of migrants and Border Patrol agents as well as images of Democratic leaders and animation of Republican politicians — including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Lauren Boebert of Colorado — on the attack.

Ocasio-Cortez unsurprisingly fired back by trying to make this a racial issue.

“So while I was en route to Glasgow, a creepy member I work with who fundraises for Neo-Nazi groups shared a fantasy video of him killing me,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted according to Daily Mail. “And he’ll face no consequences bc @GOPLeader cheers him on with excuses. Fun Monday! Well, back to work bc institutions don’t protect WOC [women of color].”

“This dude is a just a collection of wet toothpicks anyway,” she added. “White supremacy is for extremely fragile people & sad men like him, whose self-concept relies on the myth that he was born superior because deep down he knows he couldn’t open a pickle jar or read a whole book by himself.”

Gosar’s digital director Jessica Lycos fired back by telling The Washington Post that “everyone needs to relax.”

Ocasio-Cortez later tweeted again about other Republican lawmakers on Monday night.

“Remember when [Rep. Ted] Yoho accosted me on the Capitol and called me a f—ing b—,” she said. “Remember when Greene ran after me a few months ago screaming and reaching Remember when she stalked my office the 1st time w/ insurrectionists & ppl [sic] locked inside All at my job & nothing ever happens.”

Other Democrats are throwing tantrums over the video as well.

“Republican @RepGosar has shared a photoshopped animated video that depicts him killing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” tweeted Democratic strategist Kaivan Shroff. “Absolutely disgraceful. He should be removed from committee assignments just as Marjorie Taylor Greene was.”

Gosar is a fierce supporter of former President Donald Trump, who has no patience for radical socialists like Ocasio-Cortez. It should come as no surprise that he is refusing to back down from posting this video.
