WASHINGTON, DC – A report from the Gateway Pundit cites that 14 Republican lawmakers have signed on to a letter earlier in December demanding that D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser terminate Deputy Warden Kathleen Landerkin due to the treatment of January 6 defendants being detained in conjunction with Landerkin’s far-left positions regarding Trump supporters.

Earlier in December, we at Red Voice Media reported on the extreme views that Landerkin has previously espoused online regarding Trump supporters, which is a troubling notion considering Landerkin is in a position of overseeing many January 6 defendants due to her position as deputy warden in D.C.’s department of corrections.

On December 16th, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced on Twitter that she and 13 of her Republican colleagues signed a letter demanding that Mayor Bowser remove Landerkin from her position at the department of corrections, citing “a two-tier justice system” where January 6 defendants were being “treated as subhuman.”

“During a recent visit to the DC jail, Members of Congress were exposed to a two-tier justice system in which the January 6 defendants were treated categorically different from the remainder of the prison population. January 6 defendants reported being subjected to months of solitary confinement, verbal abuse (e.g., called ‘white supremacists’), harassment, beatings from guards, denial of basic medical care, religious services, communion, nutritious diet, and access to attorneys. They cannot participate in the educational programs offered to other inmates, including testing for a GED, obtaining a workplace license, or making progress on an undergraduate degree. While most of these inmates have no prior criminal history and have yet to be convicted of any crime, Landerkin is allowing them to be treated as subhuman.”

  • Bob Good
  • Andy Harris
  • Ralph Norman
  • Mary Miller
