WASHINGTON, DC – According to reports, the White House has effectively turned against Democrat Senator Joe Manchin, with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki issuing a statement that alleged he committed “a breach of his commitments” to President Biden and fellow Democrats.

The entire debacle stems from Senator Manchin not going along with President Biden’s Build Back Better.

As we previously reported here at Red Voice Media, Democrat Senator Manchin announced during a Fox News interview on December 19th that he wholly intends to vote “no” regarding the Build Back Better plan.

“I’ve always said this, Bret, if I can’t go home and explain it to the people of West Virginia, I can’t vote for it. And I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation – I just can’t. I’ve tried everything humanly possible, and I can’t get there.”

This revelation resulted in a predictable firestorm of temperaments within the Democratic party, but the outrage managed to reach all the way up to the White House, resulting in Jen Psaki releasing a statement admonishing Senator Manchin.

“If his comments on FOX and written statement indicate an end to that effort, they represent a sudden and inexplicable reversal in his position and a breach of his commitments to the President and the Senator’s colleagues in the House and Senate.”

Democrats in the Senate needed every one of their members to fall in line to pass the bill using budget reconciliation, which Senator Manchin proclaimed that such a “mammoth” of a bill could not earn his support.

Psaki’s statement regarding Senator Manchin also alleged that the Democrat senator had been in contact with President Biden earlier in the week, and she proclaimed that a sort of consensus was reached regarding Build Back Better.

“On Tuesday of this week, Senator Manchin came to the White House and submitted—to the President, in person, directly—a written outline for a Build Back Better bill that was the same size and scope as the President’s framework, and covered many of the same priorities. While that framework was missing key priorities, we believed it could lead to a compromise acceptable to all.”

In a scathing laying of guilt, Psaki’s statement proclaimed that Senator Manchin’s aversion to the Build Back Better bill will put families in the proverbial poor house who’d been previously “lifted out of poverty” through tax credits and owes an explanation to mothers who won’t receive “affordable daycare they need.”

“Senator Manchin will have to explain to those families paying $1,000 a month for insulin why they need to keep paying that, instead of $35 for that vital medicine. He will have to explain to the nearly two million women who would get the affordable daycare they need to return to work why he opposes a plan to get them the help they need. Maybe Senator Manchin can explain to the millions of children who have been lifted out of poverty, in part due to the Child Tax Credit, why he wants to end a program that is helping achieve this milestone—we cannot.”
