While crime continues to surge around America and violence has become a daily companion, the Justice Department decided to wage their own war on who they believe is behind these deadly attacks – guns!
In an effort to make America safer, the Justice Department announced a new rule that they claim is designed to make sure every person has a “safe and secure storage of firearms.” How do they do this exactly? The new rule will force any federal firearms licensee to make available secure gun storage and safety devices to all customers.

Releasing a statement, Attorney General Merrick Garland noted, “Today’s announcements build on the department’s efforts to reduce the risk of firearms falling into the wrong hands. Gun safety is a Department of Justice priority, and we will continue to take all appropriate steps to help reduce the number of people killed and injured by the misuse of firearms.”
Taking effect on February 3, the department was sure to add the qualifications of what a storage device for a weapon is. “A safe, gun safe, gun case, lockbox or other device that is designed to be or can be used to store a firearm and that is designed to be unlocked only by means of a key, a combination or other similar means.”
But what makes this new rule so interesting is the little guideline added that any licensed seller must make available storage devices for ALL the weapons available to customers. The rule specifies that all sellers must offer “secure gun storage options that are compatible with the firearms they are selling.”
On top of the new rules, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives released a Best Practices Guide for federal firearm licensees that encourages them to offer ATF reading materials to buyers. They believe it will make “owners better understand their legal obligations, as well as practical steps they can take to help keep firearms out of the hands of prohibited persons and facilitate the safe storage of firearms.”

OK. Everybody gets a cheap cable lock and there is a roundfile full of “Best Practices Guides” right by the exit. Full compliance. FJB!
This company had adds all over Facebook, and it was so obvious what they were suggesting that any thinking person would have identified this as a set up by the ATF when it happened. I marked each ad as spam whenever it showed up in my feed.

What’s next? Free lube for when the gubbmint does what it does best….
ATF and DoJ cannot make laws or change the ones we have. Tell them to stuff it.
it’ll require someone taking it to the supreme court… costly, long process
Good luck in enforcing that, Nojustice Department.
Hey Gar Baby, what about all the guns your boss gave away. And that Holder, a piece of dog squeeze, didn’t he have a plan to get guns out of our hands and into, now let me think…. Oh maybe it was Mexico. Y’all are all too fast and furious!!!!
One step closer. Their goal of total control amounts to nullifying the Constitution! Elect those who will do the work that keeps our nation free and relying on the Lord, our God, who the founding fathers trusted!
Like I have commented in the past on this subject. Safe storage in the Biden era: fully loaded, mounted on hooks just above your home entrance with plenty of extra loaded high capacity clip handy.
Not the end of the world
