Said funds, which are planned to be disbursed to truckers for things like gas, food, and lodging, are reportedly being withheld by the company until documentation can be provided by the fundraiser organizer to showcase how exactly those funds will be distributed.

This trucker convoy that is driving through Canada and headed toward Ottawa have benefitted from roughly 78,800 donors contributing to the cause in what was dubbed on GoFundMe as the “Freedom Convoy,” a campaign that was launched by Tamara Lich back on January 14th.

According to description of the fundraiser provided on GoFundMe, it was emphasized that “the time for political overreach is over” in Canada.

“Our current government is implementing rules and mandates that are destroying the foundation of our businesses, industries and livelihoods,” the account said. “Canadians have been integral to the fabric of humanity in many ways that have shaped the planet.

“We are a peaceful country that has helped protect nations across the globe from tyrannical governments who oppressed their people, and now it seems it is happening here. We are taking our fight to the doorsteps of our Federal Government and demanding that they cease all mandates against its people.”

Considering the sizeable amount raised in the campaign that is being withheld, GoFundMe spokesperson Rachel Hollis released a statement detailing the reasoning behind the hold and what steps need to be taken for the funds to be released.

She wrote, “We require that fundraisers be transparent about the flow of funds and have a clear plan for how those funds will be spent. In this case, we are in touch with the organizer to verify that information.

“Funds will be safely held until the organizer is able to provide the documentation to our team about how funds will be properly distributed.”

As mentioned earlier, this fundraiser was established in reaction to the Canadian government instituting a 14-day quarantine as of January 15th for Canadian truckers who’ve not taken the COVID shot whenever they cross the border from the United States.

Furthermore, Labour Minister Seamus O’Regan has proclaimed that the COVID jab will eventually become mandatory for all workers who operate within federally regulated industries, but the timeline for said mandate has not yet been revealed.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has gone on the record, referring to the trucker convoy protesting COVID jab mandates and wanting to exercise medical freedoms as a “small fringe minority” of people “who are holding unacceptable views.”

“The small fringe minority of people who are on their way to Ottawa – who are holding unacceptable views that they’re expressing – do not represent the views of Canadians who’ve been there for each other,” Trudeau said, “who know that following the science and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to continue to ensure our freedoms, our rights, our values as a country.”

Red Voice Media would like to make a point of clarification on why we do not refer to any shot related to COVID-19 as a "vaccine." According to the CDC, the definition of a vaccine necessitates that said vaccine have a lasting effect of at least one year in preventing the contraction of the virus or disease it's intended to fight. Because all of the COVID-19 shots thus far available have barely offered six months of protection, and even then not absolute, Red Voice Media has made the decision hereafter to no longer refer to the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson substances as vaccinations.
