With the new reports, polls, and statistics coming out, it appears the future of the Biden administration might be bleaker than once anticipated. Only a few short weeks ago, President Joe Biden promised big wins in the 2022 midterm elections. But now, with his approval ratings tanking, his election bill buried, and the Supreme Court ruling against his jab mandate, it appears that not only are the Democrats starting to distance themselves from Biden but so is one of their most prominent supporters, CNN.
During a recent segment, CNN host Erin Burnett dissected Biden’s statement in Atlanta about election laws and the supposed attack coming from Republicans. Pointing out that top Democrats like Dick Durbin, even though Biden went too far with his election speech in Georgia, Burnett would completely destroy the facts that the President presented.
In the video featured above, Burnett played a clip of Biden claiming Republicans in the state are trying to make it harder for people to vote by mail. They are doing this by making voters request absentee ballots. But as Burnett revealed, “Well, New York is one of the most reliably Democratic states in the United States and New York requires people to request absentee ballots, just like the new Georgia law does. Now, Georgia allows anyone to request an absentee ballot. New York does not. New York is actually more restrictive; there are specific guidelines as to who can request an absentee ballot. In fact, back in November, New Yorkers voted down a constitutional amendment that would allow anyone to request an absentee ballot for any reason at all by 55% to 45%, in an overwhelmingly Democratic state.”
Burnett didn’t stop there as she also admitted that Georgia’s new policy allows 17 days for early voting. In New York, the Democratic stronghold, that is only nine days.
