The Sheriff’s Office has since confirmed that they located the deceased body of 65-year-old Saget, known for his role on TV show Full House, hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989-1997, and more recently for his stand-up comedy.

Police said there were no signs of foul play or drug or alcohol use. A cause of death has not yet been determined.

He interviewed with The Morning Show last Monday, and with News4Jax on Wednesday and appeared to be in good health during that time.

Saget was in Florida to kick off his 2022 “Bob Saget: I Don’t Do Negative Tour.” He often did events to raise money for the Scleroderma Research Foundation. He lost his sister to the rare disease in 1994, and served on the board of directors.

Early Sunday morning, he posted to Twitter thanking the Jacksonville audience for coming to his show Saturday night.

The Saget family released a statement following the confirmation of his death, which said, “We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today. He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter. Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

John Stamos, who was a co-star of Full House with Saget, tweeted, “I am broken. I am gutted.  I am in complete and utter shock.  I will never ever have another friend like him.  I love you so much Bobby.”

During a December 13 episode of his podcast, Bob Saget’s Here For You, the comedian joked about the booster he’d received that week.
