WASHINGTON, DC – It seems as though President Joe Biden is suffering another humiliation with regard to his administration, as a New York Times report came out saying that he’d pleaded with China to help dissuade Putin’s aspirations with Ukraine for months – a request obviously disregarded.

The February 25th report from the New York Times alleged that the Biden administration was hoping that China – as in the same China with a reputation for genocide – would step up to the plate and convince Putin to not engage in any hostile acts against Ukraine.
Apparently, President Xi Jinping and the CCP took no interest in executing such a favor for the United States – a matter that is hardly shocking.
But this effort to get China to give the U.S. a hand with Putin wasn’t just some run of the mill phone call or single meeting, The Times reported that the Biden administration had spent “over three months” trying to appeal to the CCP.
Per the report, “senior Biden administration officials held half a dozen urgent meetings with top Chinese officials in which the Americans presented intelligence showing Russia’s troop buildup around Ukraine and beseeched the Chinese to tell Russia not to invade.”
And to make matters worse, it’s not like China simply disregarded Biden’s pleas for assistance with Russia and went about their business.
Rather, Chinese officials reportedly shared information about these meetings with Moscow, telling the Russians that America was attempting to meddle in their affairs.
Then again, this is also hardly shocking information, as even The Times acknowledged that “ties between China and Russia appear stronger than at any time since the Cold War,” with the two countries presenting “themselves as an ideological front against the United States and its European and Asian allies, even as Mr. Putin carries out the invasion of Ukraine, whose sovereignty China has recognized for decades.”
In short, China is in cahoots with Russia and appears to be just fine with their endeavors in Ukraine and Biden wasted months trying to appeal to a country known to not be on the same page as the United States on many of fronts.
