BENSALEM, PA – Things got pretty intense over at a Golden Corral restaurant in Pennsylvania in late January, where the all-you-can-eat establishment looked more like a Royal Rumble – with patrons throwing chairs at each other and mayhem ensuing.
The incident occurred on January 28th at the restaurant location in Bensalem, with local police stating that some sort of verbal altercation erupted into punches being thrown and high chairs being tossed – apparently involving as many as 40 people at the peak of the chaos.
Video was captured of the brawl but leaves little in terms of context as to what may have caused the whole matter to erupt.
Dylan Becker, a former Golden Corral employee, watched the video in question, stating, “I’ve never seen nothing like that in Golden Corral before.”
While police still aren’t sure what may have caused the fight, Becker has his own theory about what caused the incident, saying that he’d heard the whole thing started “over steak, apparently somebody cut in line.”
Gaven Lauletta, one of Becker’s friends, proclaimed that he heard the same thing regarding the steak shortage.
“There was a shortage of steak and two parties were involved and one family cut in front of another family, they were taking their time and they ran out of steak and it got into a heated exchange at the tables.”
With as chaotic as the whole incident was, police are still working to determine who initially started the physical altercation. Said individual could be facing a myriad of charges including simple assault.
However, as of this writing, no individuals have been charged or arrested in relation to the incident.
