WESLACO, TX – This week, Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that he would be sending illegal immigrants crossing into his state to Washington, DC.
Joe Biden’s lack of security at the border with Mexico has seen an influx by the millions of illegal aliens crossing into the United States through Mexico. Biden’s policies have handcuffed border patrol and restricted them from enforcing legal methods of immigration.
Abbott said on Wednesday that his plan was meant to “help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration.”
The governor continued, “Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington, DC. We are sending them to the United States capital where the Biden administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they are allowing to come across our border.
Abbott signed the declaration ordering the Texas Division of Emergency Management to follow through with the buses on camera Wednesday.
In the same press conference, Abbott announced that Texas State Troopers would be stopping all commercial vehicles for inspection of immigrants. He acknowledged that this practice would “dramatically slow” vehicle entry into the US, but said it would also “immediately help ensure that Texans are not in danger.”
The governor mentioned an increase in these types of vehicles that “smuggle immigrants and other illegal cargo into Texas and onto our roads.”
Further, it’s been announced that Texans should expect to see “increased military activity” at the border, including the installation of razor wire at parts of the low-water on the river to attempt to deter illegal immigration.
These announcements were made due to the Biden administration having declared the lifting of Title 42 in just under two months’ time. Abbott has implemented a two-part plan in preparation for the potential surge in illegal migration across the border.
For part one, beginning Thursday, the Texas National Guard will begin the “first phase of mass migration rehearsal.” The troops will be equipped with riot gear to fight any “potential caravan violence.” There will also be blockades set up along roads that lead to border towns.
Title 42 is set to be lifted May 23, which Red Voice Media has reported on. Biden has said that the restrictions at the border brought about by Title 42 are “no longer necessary.”
“What I can tell you,” former acting Department of Homeland Security secretary Chad Wolf said last week, “is Title 42 in many ways has masked the real crisis that we see on the border…because every month, DHS has been able to remove somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 to 80,000 individuals under Title 42. When that goes away, guess what? Most of those individuals will likely be processed and then released into the United States. So, all the images that you’ve seen over the last 14 months of flights around the country and migrants being dropped off on street corners is actually going to increase by two or threefold because of this.”
