HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – A group of smash-and-grab robbers wound up being on the receiving end of a beating doled out by the employees of a jewelry store they tried to rob earlier in May. Video surveillance footage from the brawl showcases just how quickly the entire incident played out.
The incident occurred at around 12:00 p.m. on May 22nd at the Princess Bride Diamonds shop located in the Bella Terra mall, where four hooded suspects came bursting through the door of the jewelry shop – one who was swinging a hammer right into the display case inside the store.

Employees inside of the shop, two of whom are brother and sister and the children of the owner, sprang into action – literally delivering a series of punches and kicks against the four robbers.
Footage showed Dallas Baca as being among the first to run right up to one of the robbers holding a backpack, cracking the suspect right in the face that caused the robber to go down and eventually be forced out of the shop. Meanwhile, the hammer-toting miscreant swings a hammer at Dallas Baca, but the employee was seemingly unfazed and kept fighting off the robbers.
Dallas Baca told a local news outlet that he was always cognizant that when it comes to a jewelry store, the location was obviously a target for would-be robbers.
“We had an idea that it could happen, but it’s always different when it actually does happen.”
He also remarked on getting hit by the hammer during the melee, stating, “At some point while I was fighting them, one of them actually hit me in the head with a hammer, on the side of my left temple, but I didn’t even register it until after they left because there was so much like adrenaline going on.”
Two female employees were also in the mix, with one of the employees kicking one of the robbers that was downed during the brawl and another employee going full WWF-mode by hoisting a chair over her head and cracking one of the suspects with it.
Sarah Baca admitted to being the individual who improvised with the chair, telling a local news outlet, “I picked up a chair and I hit the one guy in the head that was attacking Lily.”
Ultimately, Sarah Baca said she was pleased that neither her nor her colleagues were seriously injured during the incident.
“I’m just glad everyone’s OK. I’m glad that our team banded together, and we were able to put up a fight and stop what was happening.”

Police were called following the incident, but the suspects had already retreated and fled the scene after taking a beating. It’s unclear whether authorities have identified any potential suspects or persons of interest in the case.

hows all them california gun restriction laws working out for ya? maybe ask chicago how great its working for them.
You’d think that with all the gun laws and restrictions some places have…they’d be the safest places, in the country, to live in…instead of the most dangerous.
“If gun laws in fact worked, the sponsors of this type of legislation should have no difficulty drawing upon long lists of examples of criminal acts reduced by such legislation. That they cannot do so after a century and a half of trying – that they must sweep under the rug the southern attempts at gun control in the 1870-1910 period, the northeastern attempts in the 1920-1939 period, the attempts at both Federal and State levels in 1965-1976 – establishes the repeated, complete and inevitable failure of gun laws to control serious crime.”—Orrin Hatch
“If you are for gun control, then you are not against guns, because the guns will be needed to disarm people. So it’s not that you are anti-gun. You’ll need the police’s guns to take away other people’s guns. So you’re very Pro-Gun, you just believe that only the Government (which is, of course, so reliable, honest, moral and virtuous…) should be allowed to have guns. There is no such thing as gun control. There is only centralizing gun ownership in the hands of a small, political elite and their minions.”—Stefan Molyneux
my my I hope the robbers have some serious hurts from this they most certianly deserve it.
It was their ‘quick response’ to the would-be robbers that won out. This quick response up-ended everything as the perps were not expecting that people would actually ‘defend’ their business. Remember this…a quick response and not giving the wrong doers a chance to think can turn the tables on them. If ‘you’ have to stop and think about what you are going to do…you will most likely fail.
