Pedo Groomer Middle School Teacher Busted With Child Sexual Abuse Content On Her Snapchat Account

SPRINGFIELD, VA – Earlier in May, a 28-year-old middle school science teacher out of Springfield was arrested [1] after authorities say she was found in possession of child pornography.

Authorities began investigating Irving Middle School teacher Kristine Knizner back on May 17th after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about a Snapchat account [2] that bore an IP address out of Fairfax County that allegedly contained “child sex abuse materials.”

After investigating the source of the IP address, detectives zeroed in on an apartment located off the 6800 block of Meteor Place in Springfield, where Knizner was the only inhabitant of the aforementioned apartment.

Following an executed search warrant, Knizner was arrested and charged with two felony counts [3] of possession of child pornography. Few details have been shared by authorities as to where these alleged illicit images originated from, but authorities did state that the victims do not appear to be from the school Knizner was employed at.

In a letter from Irving Middle School sent to parents regarding the matter, school officials confirmed that Knizner has been placed on leave [4] in light of the allegations and that they’re “cooperating with police as they investigate this serious matter.”

Fairfax County Police Major Ed O’Carroll noted in a released statement, “I greatly appreciate the work of our Major Crimes, Cyber and Forensics detectives and analysts. These crimes have no place in our society and certainly not here in Fairfax County.”

Knizner was reportedly released from custody under a $2,000 unsecured bond.

Authorities are asking that anyone who may have information regarding other cases involving Knizner to please contact Fairfax County Police’s Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800.

In recent weeks, Red Voice Media has covered numerous cases regarding educators arrested for crimes involving the sexual exploitation of children. Earlier in May, a 33-year-old assistant teacher out of Phoenix, Arizona, found himself charged after allegedly trying to get a 14-year-old student [5] to sell him nude photographs.

On May 11th, Phoenix Police arrested Maya High School assistant teacher Darangelo Balark after investigators learned of him allegedly texting a 14-year-old female student and trying to coerce her into selling indecent photos to him. Court records further allege Balark had also inappropriately touched the victim on numerous occasions, as well.

When police confronted the suspected pedophile about these messages, Balark claimed that another child was using his cellphone and had sent those messages to the victim.

Obviously, the aforementioned excuse did not pass the proverbial sniff test, as Balark was charged with one count of sexual abuse and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, with his bond being set at $50,000.

This past April, a 35-year-old female biology teacher out of Sacramento, California, was arrested under 29 various counts [6] of sex crimes against children. Anessa Paige Gower, who was reportedly a biology teacher at Making Waves Academy in Richmond, was arrested at her Sacramento home on April 6th for the alleged sexual abuse of at least seven minors between 2021 and 2022. Gower is currently being held on bail set at $1.9 million.
