Since the end of February, the world has watched as Russia waged an invasion into Ukraine at the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin. It didn’t take long after the conflict started that the Biden administration, the Democrats, and the mainstream media hijacked the situation to push their own agenda. Given that gas prices were already on the rise and food shortages were being noticed all over the country, President Joe Biden sought to place all the blame on President Putin, who he called a madman/butcher. On top of that, the Democrats quickly took action, granting billions of dollars worth of aid to help Ukraine fight the invasion. The mainstream media also played their part, shared heartbreaking stories, called for action to be taken, and depicted the Ukrainian soldiers as heroes. They forgot to detail the history of the Azov Battalion and their links to Nazism.
While news outlets like MSNBC and CNN have changed their coverage of the Biden administration over the last few weeks, they continue to push the approved narrative about Putin being nothing more than mad with power. But as can be seen in the video below, the entire story around the Azov Battalion and their history was exposed not by journalists or reporters but by Ukrainian citizens. Take a look.
It should be noted that at the beginning of the invasion, President Putin claimed that he was not invading due to power or greed, yet trying to protect the Russian people from a resurgence of Neo-Nazism from within Ukraine. Outlets like CNN ran numerous articles about how Putin’s accusations of Ukraine being overtaken by Nazis was nothing more than Russian propaganda to help fuel his efforts of supposedly overtaking Ukraine.
According to Aljazeera, they described the battalion as being “a far-right all-volunteer infantry military unit whose members – estimated at 900 – are ultra-nationalists and accused of harboring neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideology.” The unit was initially formed as a volunteer group in May 2014 out of the ultra-nationalist Patriot of Ukraine gang and the neo-Nazi Social-National Assembly (SNA) group. Both groups engaged in xenophobic and neo-Nazi ideals and physically assaulted migrants, the Roma community, and people opposing their views.”
What makes the entire idea of Putin fighting Nazis in Ukraine so interesting is the fact that in America, President Biden claimed to be fighting the same thing. After the mass shooting in Buffalo, New York, Biden stated, “Jill and I bring you this message from deep in our nation’s soul: In America, evil will not win — I promise you. Hate will not prevail. And white supremacy will not have the last word. For the evil did come to Buffalo, and it’s come to all too many places, manifested in gunmen who massacred innocent people in the name of hateful and perverse ideology rooted in fear and racism.”
Although there is no denying the conflict taking place, the truth and facts behind the entire invasions remain unclear.
