FULTON COUNTY, GA – According to a report from The Gateway Pundit, the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections called for a special meeting on June 4th to “recertify” the results from the general primary that occurred back in late May.

The specific reasoning behind calling this special meeting to “recertify results” isn’t exactly clear, but The Gateway Pundit’s Joe Hoft questioned the peculiar endeavor, asking, “What is going on in Georgia?”

According to Fulton County’s website, the meeting was held at the Fulton County Election Preparation Center in Atlanta at 2:00 p.m. on June 5th, with the release only giving a bare-bones description of the agenda.

“The Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections will meet to recertify results from the May 24, 2022 General Primary Election and to discuss any other Elections business.”

The results from the May 24th primary show that they were last updated as of June 4th, with the voter turnout predominantly consisting of about 30% or less of registered voters participating. Again, it is unclear why Fulton County would want to convene to “recertify” these primary results.

Georgia was one of the handful of states that sparked a copious amount of controversy in the wake of the 2020 election, where three recounts transpired between November and December of 2020 that rendered Joe Biden as being certified as the winner of the state, edging out Trump by 11,779 votes.

The initial results claimed that Biden had won by 12,670 votes, but by the end of the third recount, Biden’s declared lead was reduced by nearly 1,000 votes, which was “largely due to a discrepancy in Fulton County,” according to the Associated Press.

At the time of the discovered “discrepancy,” Gabriel Sterling, who supervised the execution of the state’s new voting system, claimed that the initial over-attribution to Biden was “a little worrisome” but stated that Fulton County is among the largest in the state and bore some managerial issues. Furthermore, he leaned on the notion that even with the discovered discrepancy, the margin wasn’t enough to overturn the declared winner of the state.

Meanwhile, an investigation is playing out in Fulton County, being led by county District Attorney Fani Willis, into former President Trump and allegations that he tried to overturn the Georgia 2020 election results.

DA Willis is trying to ascertain whether any potential crimes, such as solicitation of election fraud, conspiracy, racketeering and numerous other potential offenses, were committed by the former president or any of his allies in the wake of the 2020 election regarding Georgia.

Much of the investigation relates to a phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger that occurred back in January of 2021, where Trump allegedly told Raffensperger to “find” him enough votes to award Georgia’s electoral votes to him.
