Since a leaked document from the Supreme Court showed the Justices overturning Roe v. Wade, the Democrats and liberal activists have protested in the streets, claiming that abortion would become illegal if the ruling were made. To date, there has yet to be any sort of decision on the matter, yet some claim the announcement could come this month. So far, activists and the Democrats have placed all the blame on the GOP, going as far as to protest outside of some of the Justice’s houses. Now, it seems that the White House has gotten none other than Vice President Kamala Harris to give a statement about the Supreme Court and what might happen in the coming future. Instead of trying to calm emotions surrounding something that hasn’t happened, Harris decided to stoke the flames even more.
In the video featured below, Harris admitted that the fight wasn’t over when it came to the Supreme Court. “We will use all available options when the Court rules. Our collective charge in this moment is to fight for the health, safety, and well-being of all women with everything we’ve got.”
When the leaked document first started making its rounds, President Joe Biden also addressed the issues, stating, “First, my administration argued strongly before the Court in defense of Roe v. Wade. We said that Roe is based on ‘a long line of precedent recognizing ‘the Fourteenth Amendment’s concept of personal liberty’… against government interference with intensely personal decisions.’ I believe that a woman’s right to choose is fundamental, Roe has been the law of the land for almost fifty years, and basic fairness and the stability of our law demand that it not be overturned.”
The President added in May, “if the Court does overturn Roe, it will fall on our nation’s elected officials at all levels of government to protect a woman’s right to choose. And it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November. At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe, which I will work to pass and sign into law.”
Users online were quick to expose the Democrats for calling for protests and action when they completely condemned the events on January 6th. “By the democrats rules, their rules as expressed the Jan 6th committee, Kamala while serving as Vice President just committed an act of insurrection against the United States.”
Another person wrote, “So, is she going to be responsible and tried by a court of law for inciting riots and physical damage when people are “fighting” with “everything we’ve got.”? They didn’t hold Maxine Waters accountable. Dems are immune from responsibilities for their words as long as Dems are in power. I wish Californians would wake up and vote against this tyranny.”
