Currently struggling with issues like the Southern border, inflation, gas prices, food shortage, and a war in Ukraine, the Democrats are now pushing for more gun control after the recent mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. With 19 children and two adults dying at the hands of an 18-year-old gunman, the Biden administration wasted no time hijacking the tragedy to push an agenda the Democrats have promoted for decades.
And with pressure mounting from liberal activists, it appears that some members of the GOP have started to support Red Flag laws that would eventually do away with due process. Holding a press conference on Wednesday, Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene not only criticized the Biden administration, but also ripped into a British journalist for questioning her stance.
In the video, which can be watched below, Greene declared that it was their job to protect the Second Amendment as one journalist stated, “We don’t have guns in the UK, that is true, but we don’t have mass shootings either. And our children aren’t scared to go to school.”
Knowing the angle the journalist was presenting, Greene answered, “You have mass stabbings, lady. You have all kinds of murder, and you’ve got laws against that.” After the individual claimed the rates in America were higher, the Congresswoman admitted, “Well, you can go back to your country and worry about your no guns. We like ours here.”
Not shying away from her stance, Greene shared the video above on Twitter, writing, “When British press wants to argue about our God-given American gun rights, my answer is: ‘go back to your own country.’”
It wasn’t that long ago that Greene also criticized Canada Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his take on gun control. Once again, she took to Twitter. “Trudeau foolishly completely ignores how taking guns away from his people makes his country weak and vulnerable to being invaded and easily taken over by another stronger country. Like, perhaps Russia, who is very angry at America right now.”
Users online defended the Second Amendment, stating, “The second amendment has nothing to do with hunting or sporting purposes. Those are spin-offs. It recognizes that we should be armed to repel tyranny from our own government. The framers understood the trajectory of all human governments , and left us a means of defense and offense against it.”
Another person included, “The purpose of the Second Amendment is to keep socialist tyrannical government off the backs of innocent people minding their own business. As long as there is the communist, cheating-at-the-polls Dem Party in America, the people need more weapons, not less–even if they are artillery.”
And one explained, “Brits are used to being told what to do by unelected royalty. They have taken it for a thousand years. We got too used to it over the last few decades. We should have noticed Nancy and Chuck’s Imperial dreams and thrown them out years ago. The problem is much worse now than it could have been.”
