Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court, Fox News host Tucker Carlson sounded off on the lunacy coming out of the White House in response to the high court returning the issue of abortion back to the states.

On June 24th, Joe Biden delivered remarks regarding the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, claiming the court “took away a constitutional right from the American people that it had already recognized.”

Biden seemingly couldn’t contain himself from blaming Trump in the matter either, pointing out, “It was three justices named by one President β€” Donald Trump β€” who were the core of today’s decision to upend the scales of justice and eliminate a fundamental right for women in this country.”

The sitting president condemned the court for simply following the Constitution, calling their decision “a tragic error” stemming from an “extreme ideology.”

“Make no mistake: This decision is the culmination of a deliberate effort over decades to upset the balance of our law. It’s a realization of an extreme ideology and a tragic error by the Supreme Court, in my view.”

Needless to say, with remarks as outlandish as that coming from Biden, Carlson took aim at the president for uttering such irresponsible and baseless rhetoric.

“Now, what’s the president talking about exactly? What’s this ‘extreme ideology’? Pro-baby, that’s extreme ideology that quote, ‘upset the balance of our law’? What is Joe Biden talking about?”

Despite Biden having been among the many to claim that the Supreme Court’s decision is somehow an affront to democracy, Carlson explained that the court allowed democracy to flourish on a contentious topic.

“This particular ruling dramatically reduces the power of unelected judges to dictate the details of the lives of millions of Americans and returns that power to voters. Voters get to decide how they want to live. That’s an extreme ideology? That upsets the balance of power somehow? We thought that was the whole premise of our system. We thought that was democracy.”

But the Fox News host alluded that despite the talking points coming from Democrats about “democracy” being under attack and the sort, Democrats are, in fact, more worried that their ideas on issues like abortion wouldn’t survive the test of actual democracy – hence, the public freak-outs by Democrats currently taking place.

“And yet the very people who’ve been lecturing us for years about ‘democracy, it’s the end of democracy,’ are horrified by the return of democracy. They’re telling us ‘the legitimacy of our institutions is at risk,’ and yet they cannot allow voters to have a say in how they live. What does that tell you? It tells you they care about power, not popular support. They’re afraid to put their ideas to the test of a vote.”
