While the Holocaust led to over six million Jews being killed, the story of a 13-year-old hidden behind a bookcase for two years has given generations a key glimpse into what it was like being hunted by the Nazis. Being forced into hiding at such a young age, Anne Frank documented her time and what it was like to be the subject of such brutality. Sadly, Anne Frank didn’t survive the heinous acts as she was eventually captured and sent to a concentration camp where she died at 15. Although a tragic story, recently, a Twitter user suggested that the young girl was given White Privilege.
On Saturday, one of the top trending topics on Twitter was Anne Frank. And it was due to user Ka1zoku_Qu0d writing, “Hold on I want to make sure I say this carefully. Yeah, Anne Frank had white privilege. Bad things happen to people with white privilege also but don’t tell the whites that.”
Shockingly, another user agreed, adding, “Yes, all white people are safe. No one is saying the Nazis didn’t target white people, just that white people can hide behind their whiteness, whereas in Nazi USA black people can’t. Go tell black people the whites got it hard.”
Confused, like most, many Twitter users couldn’t follow the idea of Anne Frank, a victim of the disgusting and hateful Holocaust, succeeding due to her so-called white privilege.
Writer Katherine Brodsky asked, “Somehow a discussion broke out on Twitter today about how Anne Frank, of all people, had ‘white privilege.’ A girl literally murdered for being Jewish, what was considered–at best–by Nazis as an inferior race. How delusional does this identity politics discourse get?”
Robby Starbuck, who is currently a Congressional candidate, explained, “The woke left is legitimately so insane that they’ve reached the point where they even accuse ANNE FRANK of having white privilege. This is just one of many reasons normal Americans will elect a massive red wave of Republicans in November. We’ve ALL had enough of this nonsense!”
The Jerusalem Post even wrote an article [1] about the Twitter rant, noting, “The debate about Anne Frank allegedly spawned out of a series of convoluted unrelated arguments on Twitter over the course of months, according to one Twitter user starting with sexual stereotypes about white women. This reportedly devolved into accusations of racism, and discussions on racial identity.”
Clearly, some people (mostly on the far left) have completely lost their common sense, decency, and their minds. This is quite possibly a new low for that deranged portion of society.
