NORCO, CA – An elderly liquor store owner in late July quickly handled a would-be armed robber, as surveillance footage from the liquor store in question shows the owner blasting the suspect with a shotgun – leaving the suspect running away and screaming, “He shot my arm off!”
The incident reportedly occurred just before 3:00 a.m. on July 31st at the Norco Market & Liquor located along the 2800 block of Clark Avenue, where authorities say four suspects in a black BMW SUV attempted to rob the establishment.

Footage from the incident shows a male suspect adorned in a red and black sweatshirt and a ski mask entering the establishment while armed with a rifle, reportedly telling the 80-year-old store owner to place his hands in the air.
However, the elderly store owner opted to reach for the shotgun concealed under the store counter, not wasting a single second before quickly blasting the suspect’s arm. In surveillance footage from outside of the establishment, the other suspects involved can be seen waiting outside when the injured suspect comes running out, screaming, “He shot my arm off.”

Nearly leaving their injured accomplice behind in the process, the suspects quickly fled from the liquor store following the incident. Authorities later located the suspects at an area hospital in southern California after a male was admitted for an apparent gunshot wound consistent with a shotgun blast.
The three other accomplices reportedly involved were found inside of the vehicle used in the armed robbery, which authorities say had been previously reported stolen. Inside of the stolen vehicle, police also reportedly recovered numerous firearms that had also been previously reported stolen.
Authorities identified the three male suspects taken into custody at the hospital parking lot as 22-year-old Justin Johnson, 27-year-old Jamar Williams, and 24-year-old Davon Broadus, which all three were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center under suspicion of robbery and conspiracy.
As for the fourth suspect who sustained the gunshot wound during the botched armed robbery, authorities say the yet-to-be-named 23-year-old suspect is still hospitalized in critical, but stable condition. Officials noted that upon the injured suspect’s release from the hospital, he will be transported to an area jail for booking.
Riverside County deputies issued a statement regarding the incident, noting, “In this case, a lawfully armed member of our community prevented a violent crime and ensured their own safety, while being confronted with multiple armed suspects.”

As for the elderly liquor store owner, identified only as “Craig” by locals and employees, he reportedly suffered a heart attack following the attempted armed robbery and is currently recovering.
Marnie Tapia, an employee at the establishment, is thankful that his employer was “on his toes” during the early-morning incident, adding that Craig is “always prepared” for situations like this.
“The sheriff’s warned us that this had been going on in the area recently and to just be on your toes, you know, so he was on his toes. Thank God…He just prepared himself. He’s always prepared as far as weapons go.”

Marvelous. Positively Marvelous.
truly fine citizen prevents more innocents from being victimized by marauding lawless savages…
Who think they have an easy target on their hands, and even if they get caught, figure they will be let off easy…. This article made my day..except for the store owner having a heart attack…sure hope he recovers.
Well, did Craig, the store employee, succeed in shooting off the robber’s arm? It may seem insensitive, but when a criminal sets the standard that he is willing to kill for the money he wants to steal, he also surrenders his right to survive. The Left considers it a heartless cliche that the best defense against a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun. But when the criminal element realizes that every intended victim they go after may instantly be forced to become judge, jury, and executioner in defense of their own life, crime will go down.
There have been well conducted studies with incarcerated convicted criminals who use a weapon to force the victim to submit. To a person, those criminals say that when the potential that the intended victim may be armed due to laws that make it easier for law abiding citizens to obtain and legally carry firearms, the criminals look for safer places to ply their criminal trade. That is where gun laws are highly restrictive on the law abiding citizen.Restrictive gun laws impact only the law abiding citizen.
This store owner should have aimed 12 t0 18 inches higher so that he doesn’t blow a poor robbers arm off.
Higher and probably a bit more to the center.
The assailant was disarmed quickly. Well done, Craig
Instead of shooting his arm off he should have splattered the punks brains all over the store window.
He’s a one armed bandit now
Very funny!
THE HEAD…..YES
THECHEST…YES
THE CROTCH…YES
THE ARM??????????????????
He missed for sure. Good shot anyway
I agree but at 80 yrs of age in a critical situation like that I’m jut happy that he hit him at all. Although I wish it had been a head shot.
im guessing Craig didnt have time to lick His front sight and was just getting the first shot off . lmo
Craig should have shot off the THUG’s JUNK.
Well the guy is 80, likely not seeing so well these days and surprised by a man with a weapon pointing at him. I think the fact that he even hit the criminal’s arm made it a great shot.
The liquor store owner Craig suffered trauma from this incident as well as the perp. Craig suffered a heart attack as a result of this attempted robbery. I wish him a speedy recovery. Craig defended himself with a shotgun. I wonder what the choke is on his shotgun and what size shot he was using.
Would like to know what type of shot shell he was using, birdshot? A slug or .00 would’ve likely taken his arm off! LOL!
A slug would’ve taken him off the count. #6 shot would’ve shattered the bones in his arm at the distance he was shot at. I know what would get the job done, I’m just curious about what Craig used, and the c h o k e setting on his shotgun.
Your a terrible shot. Start going to the shooting range, how in the world did you miss his chest?????
Too bad he didn’t blow his head off. As thoroughly twisted as our judicial system is, this POS will probably sue and wind up owing the liquor store becaues he’s now disabled!
Got what he deserved.
God Bless Craig and all others like him that refuse to cave in to the horrible crime situation that the corrupt prosecutors and District Attorneys have created.
Corrupt prosecutors and District Attorneys have created a situation that requires all of us Craigs to SHOOT FIRST and ask questions later!!!
Can he still be charged with armed robbery?
that was Good Ricki lol
LMAO!!!
would have been better to shoot robber in the head. problem solved
Should have blown his F-ing head off.
Because I named a part of a shotgun, my comment is awaiting moderation for at least 4 hours. Hopefully this comment won’t await the same fate. I realize that there are other priorities to attend to, but it’s just a few sentences that need to be read. Thank you.
Another White Privileged Supremacist very heavily suntanned got his reward??
Yup, brains and eyeballs next mofo
Where police and govt. Aren’t doing their job properly…This kind of equality is the only way, gun for gun.
Thank goođness the elđerly gent was armed, ready and able to act courageously against the lawless, intruding thief, et alia. He certainly mađe his point clearly’n quite eXplosively! Doubt whether said goons will ever return for a second try. Enough is enough! Time to get tough on criminality. . . Speaking of which, na°sty §wampington politi°callous libtard woke joke crooks suddenly spring to mind–as do rinos. . . Gee, I wonđer NØT why. . . Lolz’n Pfffft! ☝️🤓
That was AWESOME!!! TAKE OUT THE TRASH BEFORE THEY HAVE A CHANCE TO TAKE YOU OUT!!!!!
Is there a Go Fund Me for Craig??
Must have been bird shot, like #8…as it the robber had bee hit with buckshot, he would have gone DOWN…even when shot in the arm. The best shotgun round to use in such combat situations is #4 Buckshot..not 00.
But, at close range, like this shooting was..and most are..the bird shot does not have the space to spread out and usually hits with a tight cluster of small lead pellets, the entire weight of the shot load impacting in a small area..at high velocity.
Remember, you still must aim your shotgun for you to hit your target…don’t believe the TV shows.
It maybe a good thing he got his arm shot. We don’t know if this person lost his arm, but lets think he did, now he must answer the questions when people ask him how he lost his arm, ( I lost it trying rob a liquor store). He will be a walking billboard for this could happen to you if you try to do the same as I did. The robber should be made to pay all his medical bills, no free ride. He should also charged for causing the man to have heart attack.
Our prayers go out to “Craig”. He is an American HERO!!!
I would have aimed a lot lower, not kidding. If I’m forced to defend myself by pulling a weapon to protect my life or that of those around me, then I will go where the man lives! A criminal who threatens a crime against others while brandishing a weapon needs convincing that his life of crime is not working.
Getting your dick shot off will do that. It’s a particular show of force that convinces, quite quickly and forever.
Staged! Not a drop or splatter of blood to be seen.
My .357magnum does about the same damage in a single “pellet” design…copper jacketed hollow points that violently fragment upon contact. I had my second rifle by 12yo as a kid of a USMC aviator-and the reloading bench and lathe were Saturday chores just like the lawn.
