Pro-Abortion Bully Physically Attacks Teen Students For Life Action Volunteer [VIDEO]

KANSAS CITY, KS – According to the President of the Student for Life Action organization, Kristan Hawkins, a “grown woman” verbally and physically attacked [1] a teenager who was door knocking to help get an amendment regarding abortion regulation passed.

On Sunday, July 31, 18-year-old Grace Hartsock, a SFLAction volunteer, was out in a Leawood neighborhood knocking on doors to encourage people to vote for the passing of HCR 5003, the Kansas Value Them Both Amendment, which essentially would make the State Constitution neutral when it comes to abortion so that individual voters can set the law on the matter.

Hartsock came to one door, the door of the adult female suspect, and said asked if she could count on the resident’s vote in favor of the amendment.

“No, I’m sorry I don’t think you want to talk to us,” the resident said.

“Hartsock recounted that as she politely thanked her for her time and began to leave the property,” the Students For Life Action blog [1] read, “a female voice began yelling and cursing from inside the home. Hartsock said that she stopped momentarily to turn around to face the voice yelling expletives and heard her say, ‘Don’t apologize to her, mom.’ As Hartsock was turning, the yelling woman ran out the front door and began chasing her.”

The blog post continues, saying that the woman “shoved Hartsock in the chest with both hands and began hitting her in the head with closed fists. Hartsock attempted to protect herself and leave while the resident’s mother told her daughter to stop the violence.”

The woman apparently threw a piece of food at Hartsock as she fled down the driveway, and the woman followed Hartsock shouting and cursing at her, saying things like, “I hope you get raped,” and “I hope you get run over by a car.”

Hartsock was examined in an emergency room and suffered no lasting physical injuries.

Hawkins said that the group filed a police complaint with the Leawood Police Department for the attack. “In knocking on thousands of doors nationwide,” Hawkins said, “we’ve never experienced such an unprovoked attack.”

Hartsock, who already returned to door knocking, said of the incident, “It’s unfathomable that the pro-choice movement claims to be ‘pro-woman’ and yet attacks women who don’t agree with their narrative. It’s not surprising to me that a person who advocates for violence in the womb wouldn’t hesitate to attack a pro-life woman like myself.”

The Kansas Value Them Both Amendment is up for vote during a special election come Tuesday. The amendment would create a special section [2] in the state’s Bill of Rights regarding abortion regulation. “The new section would state the Kansas Constitution does not require government funding of abortion and does not create or secure a right to abortion,” the amendment says. “Further, the language would state, to the extent permitted by the U.S. Constitution, the people of Kansas, through their elected state representatives and senators, may pass laws regarding abortion, including, but not limited to, laws that account for circumstances of pregnancy resulting from rape or incest, or circumstances of necessity when necessary to save the life of the mother.”

Hawkins stated, “As reported to police, a grown woman took out her frustrations over abortion on a teenager who volunteered to let people know about the Kansas ballot initiative. This brings abortion radicals’ ‘Summer of Rage’ close to home. But the Pro-Life Generation will not be forced into silence or fear because of radical pro-abortionists who show no regard for life, inside or outside of the womb, and no respect for the free speech rights of their fellow citizens.

What’s a little ironic is that the ballot initiative would allow every Kansan to weigh in on the policy they prefer, but rather than fight for abortion policy, we have some fighting our volunteers.”
