With the Biden administration refusing to address the crisis at the Southern border, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis decided to help the migrants get better resources by flying them to Martha’s Vineyard. On top of housing some of the most elite people in America, like former President Barack Obama, Martha’s Vineyard claimed to be a haven for migrants.
Knowing that the migrants would have better opportunities there, the Florida Governor gave them an opportunity to expand their horizons. But while liberal strongholds claim to care about migrants and criticize the GOP for wanting a stronger border, it seems that Martha’s Vineyard quickly took steps to remove the migrants from the area. Although attacking DeSantis and calling for an investigation, the Republican apparently is already sending more migrants.
This time – to Joe Biden’s home in Delaware.
That’s right, as an investigation opened into the accusations that Governor Ron DeSantis illegally sent migrants north, the rising member in the GOP loaded up another plane to send to Georgetown.
According to The Daily Mail, “Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ plane he used to send 50 migrants to affluent Martha’s Vineyard is on the move again – heading for President Biden’s Rehoboth home in Delaware. DeSantis last week sparked a spectacular escalation in the ongoing immigration war between the Republican GOP in charge of the border states and Democrat officials in so-called ‘sanctuary cities’. It now appears that he is sending the Ultimate Air Shuttle to Georgetown, which will touch down at around 1.30 pm [sic].”
As mentioned above, Ron DeSantis sending migrants to Martha’s Vineyard led Texas Sheriff Javier Salazar to investigate him. The Sheriff explained, “What infuriates me the most about this case is that… they have already fallen on hard times, they are here legally in our country at that point, they have every right to be where they are, and I believe that they were preyed upon.” He continued, “Somebody came from out of state, preyed upon these people, lured them with promises of a better life, which is what they absolutely were looking for… to just be exploited and hoodwinked into making this trip to Florida and on to Martha’s Vineyard for what I believe to be nothing more than political posturing to make a point.”
Reacting to the news, liberals, Democrats, and even late-night host Seth Meyer discussed the decision by DeSantis. Meyers decided to attack the entire GOP, stating, “The Republican Party is an institution built almost entirely around spectacles of cruelty and humiliation, and that’s how you know that they’re desperate – they’re resorting to horrific scare tactics and grotesque stunts in an effort to gin up yet another election year panic about the border. And by his own admission, Trump just pulls this stuff out…”
