No longer sitting idly by, waiting for the Biden administration to address the Southern border crisis, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis decided to take matters into his own hands by flying 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, which promotes itself as being a haven for those seeking a better life. With the planes arriving, the Democrats had no other option than to finally speak on the issues that have been plaguing states like Texas since Joe Biden entered the White House. The Democrats quickly twisted the narrative to suggest that DeSantis and other Republicans are the ones creating the crisis. Now, with a lawsuit being presented to the Florida Governor by Lawyers for Civil Rights, the Republican called it nothing more than “political theater.”

According to the lawsuit brought against Governor Ron DeSantis, Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation Jared Perdue, and other organizations, the individuals targeted by representatives of DeSantis were lured in using $10 gift cards to Mcdonalds’. The accusers even claimed that the flights to Martha’s Vineyard were somehow the same “cruelty” they endured in Venezuela. “These immigrants, who are pursuing the proper channels for lawful immigration status in the United States, experienced cruelty akin to what they fled in their home country.”

Taryn Fenske, DeSantis’ spokeswoman, discussed the lawsuit on Fox News. She criticized the entire lawsuit as “political theater” that was created by “opportunist activists.” “If these activists spent even a fraction of this time and effort at the border, perhaps some accountability would be brought to the Biden Administration’s reckless border policies that entice illegal immigrants to make dangerous and often lethal journeys through Central America and put their lives in the hands of cartels and Coyotes.”
Doing more than criticizing the Lawyers for Civil Rights, Taryn Fenske revealed a copy of the consent form all migrants signed before getting on the plane. And for those wondering, the form was in both Spanish and English. It read that the person “agree to hold the benefactor or its designated representatives harmless of all liability arising out of or in any way relating to any injuries and damages that may occur during the agreed transport to locations outside of Texas until the final destination of Massachusetts.”
After showing the document, Taryn Fenske explained how Martha’s Vineyard didn’t care about the migrants when they were hungry. And when they finally arrived, they called in the Massachusetts National Guard to take them away. “The immigrants were homeless, hungry, and abandoned – and these activists didn’t care about them then. Florida’s program gave them a fresh start in a sanctuary state, and these individuals opted to take advantage of chartered flights to Massachusetts. It was disappointing that Martha’s Vineyard called in the Massachusetts National Guard to bus them away from the island within 48 hours.”
