Not that long ago, the media portrayed concerned parents as nothing more than unhinged Karens. The Democrats injected themselves into the conversation when they suggested the parents were somehow domestic terrorists. The concerns from the parents surrounded students being subjected to LGBTQ material. Numerous parents detailed books that taught about gender identity and sexual orientation. But instead of being worried, school boards and the media criticized them. As the Democrats and liberals see no problem in teaching young children about gender identity and welcoming them to drag queen story hours, Seattle Public Schools reported a staggering 853% increase in students claiming they are “non-binary.”
Back in 2019, the Seattle Public Schools had a total of 55,417 students in their classrooms. Out of all those kids, only 53 of them suggested they were “non-binary.” During the 2022-2023 school year, the Seattle Public Schools found that a staggering 505 students are now claiming to be “non-binary.”
And that wasn’t all, Seattle Public Schools also saw a 6% decrease in students. In 2022, they reported only having 51,608 kids. To try and boost the number, the district tweeted, “Did you know? The number of students enrolled at SPS determines our budget. Right now, we are seeing a decrease in enrollment, which means a decrease in our budget. SPS continues to work on making sure we have a balanced budget every year.”

When looking at the data available, in 2022, there were 272 high school students in Seattle who believed themselves to be “non-binary.” Another 125 middle schools, 89 elementary schools, and 16 kindergarten students claimed the same.
Not only is enrollment dropping but something else is happening:

The Governor of Washington, Jay Inslee, a Democrat, has promoted all forms of gender identity. Back in July of 2017, he defended transgender service members after former President Donald Trump moved to ban them from serving. He said, “Our nation’s security is enhanced by the inclusion of qualified men and women to serve, regardless of color, religion, orientation, birthplace, or gender. These men and women – as well as their families – dedicate their full lives and livelihoods to keeping Washington state and our homeland safe and secure. Each and every one of them is deserving of nothing less than our respect, our thanks, and our commitment to support them in doing the best job they can.”
Governor Inslee concluded, “It’s clear this president is as intent on building up walls within our nation as he is around it. Instead of continuing to break down barriers to ensure every man and woman is granted the opportunity to fulfill their potential, President Trump is cruelly putting those barriers back. I’m proud of the work we’ve been doing in Washington to support our LGBTQ community, and I am as resolute as ever in pushing back against the forces of division that threaten our progress. Washington will continue to allow transgender individuals to serve in the National Guard until the president’s tweet is made into an official order.”
