When asked in a social setting “What do you do?” and I respond ” I work at home keeping the house clean, doing laundry, grocery shopping, paying bills, picking up grandchildren from school, taking grandchildren to afterschool activities because my kids work late hours to provide for their families, then coming home to cook supper and clean it up afterwards”, other women get “the look” on their face as if you are lazy, worthless, and stupid for not being out in the workforce. I have heard some of the rudest comments. It’s shocking to me, then somewhat not shocking to me, that there are all these brainwashed and misguided women in the world that believe working outside the home and having others raise your children is somehow better. That is exactly why the world is in the situation it is now. We have a generation or two that have been raised/brainwashed by our government’s education system.
