Medical records are sacred — and the United States understood that when they codified HIPAA into law in 1996.

HIPAA as explained by the CDC:

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is a federal law that required the creation of national standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient’s consent or knowledge.

At the height of the COVID insanity, vaccine passports were argued to be a violation of HIPAA. Having to show your papers with your vax status seemed like a highly-inappropriate measure — from a medical privacy point of view — in order to eat at a restaurant or watch a movie.

But it was for your safety, right?

That’s the trick they always use. That’s what they said then, and that’s what they’re saying now. And this time, the safety sales pitch is for you to give up your medical records so they can start to “predict” diseases and conditions before they even occur.

Not my words, a Mayo Clinic representative’s while speaking at the World Health Summit. The woman speaking has been reported to be a woman by the name of Molly Biwer.

We have — it’s a new venture. It’s called Mayo Clinic platform. And really what it is — as we’ve been talking about prevention. What we’re hoping to do is gather the medical records, and it’s a very lofty goal — but the medical records of everybody in the world so we can start to become — to predict before diseases and conditions even happen. And we realize that that is the future — that hopefully, being able to have all of these records, it’s really going to be able to help our physicians, our scientists, and our researchers [to] be able to cure diseases and conditions before they even occur.

Now, how exactly would they do just that?

As someone who has worked in healthcare for over 12 years, this is going AGAINST all medical ethics I’ve ever been taught. Medical records are sacred — and are only to be shared with concerned family members and those involved in the care of the individual.

What Mayo Clinic wants is a thousand steps backwards — and not one inch should be given to this sentiment.
