The video, aligning with this year’s theme of “Magic, Wonder, and Joy,” drew vehement backlash from online conservatives who dubbed it as “bizarre” and likened it to the “United States of Bananas.”
Posted through the official @FLOTUS account on X, formerly known as Twitter, the video featured dancers from Dorrance Dance, presenting their cringeworthy interpretation of “The Nutcracker Suite.” However, instead of eliciting holiday cheer, the performance sparked a cascade of negative reactions, causing social media users to question its appropriateness.
