Armed Robber Gets Swiss Cheesed When He Approaches Cops With A Knife In SLC [VIDEOS]

Salt Lake City, Utah – The Salt Lake City Police Department has made public the bodycam footage from a critical incident that occurred on April 2, resulting in the death of a suspect.

According to reports, the incident took place on the 800 block of South State Street after police received a 911 call from an employee at a Chevron gas station. The employee informed the police that the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Cameron Ammon Cloward, had attempted to stab him through a window with a knife. Based on the employee’s statement, authorities believe that Cloward may have committed an aggravated robbery, using or threatening to use a dangerous weapon in the process.

Officers arrived at the scene around 2:30 a.m. and located Cloward walking in the parking lot, still armed with a knife. Cloward proceeded to walk northwards on the east sidewalk of State Street before turning around to face the officers and reentering the gas station parking lot.

Bodycam footage captured one of the officers instructing Cloward to cease approaching the gas station. Cloward, holding the knife with the blade situated under his chin, ignored the commands issued by the officers and repeatedly stated, “I don’t care.”

The release of the bodycam footage aims to provide transparency and shed light on the events that transpired during this critical incident. The Salt Lake City Police Department assures the public that a thorough investigation is underway to examine all pertinent facts and ensure accountability.
