Authorities in Las Vegas are currently searching for a gunman who opened fire on a group of homeless people on Friday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals, as reported by the Mirror. This incident occurred just hours after police in Los Angeles announced their hunt for a serial killer responsible for a series of similar murders.

The attack took place around 5:30 PM near a highway overpass in the northern part of Las Vegas. The lone shooter targeted a group of homeless individuals, leaving two dead and three injured, although their injuries are not life-threatening.

On the same day, Los Angeles officials revealed their intense search for a serial killer responsible for three separate shootings that claimed the lives of three homeless individuals in their sleep in attacks on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday. These incidents prompted an unprecedented warning from Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, who urged the city’s homeless population to avoid sleeping alone.

Hours after this announcement, Las Vegas police responded to a shooting that displayed similarities to the LA serial killings, though it has not been officially confirmed that these incidents are linked.

The identities and ages of the victims in Las Vegas have not yet been disclosed. However, the Los Angeles victims were described as two Hispanic males and one Black male. LAPD Detectives have released a CCTV image of a hooded suspect along with a dark-colored sedan that may be connected to the killings.
